New Interview Regarding Captive Orca Tooth Drilling and SeaWorld's Low Trainer Pay

“The trainers are so in love with the thrill of working with the killer whales that it’s really about them and what they want and it’s less about what the killer whales want.”

I’ve personally seen this from many orca-trainer wannabes. They want to ride the whales, they want to be shot “25 feet in the air” they want to use killer whales as surfboards for the adrenaline rush…but it really has nothing to do with what is best for the animals.
